These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Onyx mobile application (the "App") provided by Yurka ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
2. Acceptable Use
- You will not reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
- You will not use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- You will not interfere with the security features of the App or attempt to bypass them.
3. Subscriptions and Purchases
Some features of the App require an auto-renewing subscription processed through the Apple App Store. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
4. Security Features Disclaimer
Onyx provides tools that help you improve your device security and privacy, including Ad Block, WebShield DNS, SMS scam filtering, identity monitoring, device security checks and battery health guides. These features rely on third-party data and heuristics and are provided "as is". We do not guarantee that the App will detect every threat, block every ad, identify every scam message, or prevent every data breach.
- SMS scam filtering works only with regular SMS; it does not apply to iMessage.
- WebShield depends on DNS profile installation and may be bypassed by VPNs or other DNS settings.
- Identity Monitoring relies on third-party breach databases and may not reflect all incidents.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, design, logos and software in the App are owned by Yurka or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. No rights are granted to you other than the limited license above.
6. User Content
Any feedback, suggestions or ideas you submit are non-confidential, and you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use them for any purpose.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
8. Warranty Disclaimer
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YURKA WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE APP.
10. Apple End-User License Agreement (EULA)
These Terms incorporate the Apple-required terms applicable to App Store apps. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the App.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
