Yurka ("we", "us", "our") operates the Onyx mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Email address — only when you use Identity Monitoring to check for data breaches.
  • Support communications you send us voluntarily.

Information collected automatically

  • Anonymous diagnostics (crash reports, performance metrics) to keep the App stable.
  • Device security state (passcode enabled, iOS version) — checked locally on your device.

What we do NOT collect

  • We do not read your SMS messages on our servers. Scam detection runs locally on your device.
  • We do not log your browsing history. WebShield only checks domains against a security API.
  • We do not sell personal data to third parties.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide the App's core security features.
  • Notify you about new data breaches matching your monitored email.
  • Maintain, improve and secure the App.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-Party Services

Onyx integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

  • HaveIBeenPwned — for breach lookup of email addresses you submit.
  • Apple App Store / Apple frameworks — for installation, in-app purchases, push notifications and Safari content blocking.
  • DNS resolver providers — for the WebShield DNS profile.

4. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed to provide the App or as required by law. Email addresses used for Identity Monitoring are stored encrypted and can be removed at any time from the App settings.

5. Children's Privacy

Onyx is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR / CCPA / similar), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email listed below.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable safeguards.

8. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the European Union, where privacy laws may differ. We apply appropriate safeguards in all cases.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
